We very much enjoyed working with them even if at times we may have appeared to be a little interfering and hands on but they always accommodated us with a good heart...even buying Sharon a nice pair of Hunter wellies to make sure her Valentino’s were not muddied. They always made us feel that we mattered-they never made us feel like we were in the way and always made us feel welcomed on site. Greystones was a huge project for us. We knocked down a perfectly good house so we could build something different. Charybdis did an amazing job for us and we are delighted to recommend them to anyone. The main point that sticks with me is their after sales support. They were always on hand to fix, help and advise. 5 years after sign off-they were still available to problem solve and fix the odd issue. Great team, wonderful experience.

I was immediately impressed by James' professional manner, open and honest approach, and superior technical knowledge which quickly became apparent once we delved into the structural details.James and his team picked up on inconsistencies in my architect’s designs, suggested ways to optimise the build timeframe and talked competently through the cost/benefit considerations of using different construction techniques where there were choices to be made. Their tender pricing was open and transparent. They were willing to work with me to tender the main subcontractor packages early on, to lock in significant costs. They allowed me to bring on board trusted tradesmen I’d worked with in the past (e.g. an architectural stone fabricator, a roofer) and enabled an atmosphere of mutual respect, trust and collaboration which underpinned our relationship through the duration of the build.
